Active Noise Control-Road (ANC-R)
A Hyundai first, ANC-R is like an in-built pair of noise-cancelling headphones. Microphones positioned inside the IONIQ 9 monitor the noise transmitted from the road surface and then generate sounds to cancel them out. This works in tandem with the standard sound-absorbing tyres and acoustic glass, helping to achieve a whisper-quiet cabin.
The IONIQ 9 incorporates the latest high-tech innovations with Hyundai SmartSense™[P1] — our suite of safety features that intuitively detect what’s in front, behind and beside you.
Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM)[P1]
Signalling left or right with the IONIQ 9’s indicators will activate the Blind-Spot View Monitor (BVM). This safety system can see cars travelling in rear blind spots and projects real-time video onto the cluster, giving you a more complete driving picture to respond to.
Surround View Monitor (SVM) with 3D view function[P1]
This multi-camera parking safety system generates a 360° bird’s-eye view around your IONIQ 9 from various viewpoints, including top, front, rear, left and right, displaying them on your 12.5″ multimedia touchscreen.
Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist – Rear (PCA-R)[P1]
When you are slowly reversing the IONIQ 9, such as in a garage or parking spot, and the PCA-R system anticipates a collision with an obstacle, the system warns the driver with visual, audible, and haptic alerts — and can apply emergency braking if needed.
Driver Attention Warning (DAW)[P1]
Driver Attention Warning analyses your driving behaviours over time. If it notices signs of fatigue or recognises you’ve been driving continuously for an extended period, pop-up messages and audible alerts suggest you take a break.
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Junction Turning[P1]
Turning into oncoming traffic at a road junction is made safer with the FCA front camera/radar system. As soon as your IONIQ 9’s indicator is turned on, the system is designed to detect oncoming obstacles and trigger an alert or apply the brakes.
Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA)[P1]
Like a second set of eyes, this system uses radar sensors in the rear bumper to look out for vehicles in the driver’s rear blind spot. When BCA detects a vehicle in those blind spots, it provides audible and visual warnings.
High Beam Assist (HBA)[P1]
This courteous and convenient feature scans the road ahead for approaching headlights, then automatically adjusts your lights to low beam, then back to high when there’s no oncoming headlights.
Lane Following Assist (LFA)[P1]
LFA uses the IONIQ 9’s front windshield-mounted camera to detect lane markers and preceding traffic on the road and provides steering assistance to help you stay safely centred in your lane while driving.
Lane Keeping Assist – Line/Road-Edge (LKA-L/R)[P1]
This steering-assist function detects lane markings on the road to monitor your position in a lane. Should you stray from a lane without activating your indicators, an audible and visual warning will alert you.
Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA)[P1]
When backing out from a parking spot, RCCA detects vehicles approaching from the left or right. The sensor will issue an audible alert and visual warning on the dashboard and, if necessary, will initiate emergency braking.
Safe Exit Warning (SEW)[P1]
Warns rear passengers before opening the door if approaching vehicles or cyclists are detected.
